Venture Capital: Five V Invests in Checkbox

The Five V Capital Venture Capital team is excited to announce our investment in Checkbox's US$23 million Series A alongside Touring Capital, Peak XV Partners, Conductive Ventures and Tidal Ventures.

Checkbox is the AI Legal Front Door for in house legal teams globally. Their platform captures legal requests where employees already work, including email, Slack, Teams, Salesforce, and intranet portals, then uses AI agents to turn conversations into structured workflows. This enables self service for routine matters and routes complex, higher risk work to legal with context and visibility.

Already trusted by over 100 enterprise organisations including Telstra, Woolworths, Macquarie Group, Xero, and multiple Fortune 500 companies, Checkbox is helping legal teams reduce admin and improve service delivery. At Hitachi, 83 percent of routine legal and compliance requests are now partially or fully automated.

“We’ve seen tremendous demand for the Legal Front Door... Our customers go from operating in the dark and spending time on things they shouldn’t be, to working on what matters,” said Evan Wong, Co-Founder and CEO of Checkbox.

“The Checkbox team is solving a genuine pain point for one of the highest-stakes teams in some of the world’s most recognisable companies. The Australia and US-based team is rolling out new product modules at a rapid pace, and their legal and compliance clients could not live without the platform.” said Five V’s Chris Gillings

Congratulations to Evan Wong, James Han, and the entire Checkbox team. We are excited to support this next chapter.
